Anime Announcements: New Seasons & Release Dates Tracker

Last checked: September 24, 2026 against each title's official anime site, Crunchyroll News and its Summer and Fall 2026 lineups, Netflix and CD PROJEKT RED, TBS's program guide, and D&C Media's investor presentation.

How to read this tracker: a confirmed date is an exact day published by the production committee, broadcaster or streamer. An announced window is an official month, season or year with no day attached. Confirmed but undated means the project is officially in production with no date or window yet. Japanese broadcast dates are given in JST, and US streaming times in Pacific Time. For every dated Fall 2026 premiere in one place, use the anime release calendar.

Key facts

Checked on September 24, 2026.

Which anime have new seasons announced or dated?

Seven titles carry an exact date, four carry a month or year, and seven are confirmed with nothing attached. Every row below links the official source that set its status; nothing moves between rows on leaks, database placeholders or fan countdowns.

What changed since the last check?

Since September 23: Saga of Tanya the Evil Season 2 finished, Smoking Behind the Supermarket with You reaches its finale on September 24, and Re:Zero Season 4 has one episode left. No title gained or lost a date. The Bleach reschedule and the Shangri-La Frontier date from earlier in September still stand.

• Finales landed. The Ogre's Bride ended with Episode 12 on September 19–20. Saga of Tanya the Evil Season 2 ended on September 23, and TBS lists the Smoking Behind the Supermarket finale for September 24.
• Re:Zero moved one episode closer. Episode 84, "Ram," aired September 23, and the official portal now lists episodes 67–84. The September 30 date for the finale is a count forward from the weekly slot. There is no separate notice for that episode yet.
• Mushoku Tensei has no finale date yet. Episode 13 aired September 20, and the official news page has not named a final episode. Crunchyroll's Fall 2026 lineup does not list it as a continuing simulcast. Our read: this run probably wraps in late September. Treat that as an inference until the official site confirms it.
• Bleach is still paused. The September 12 production notice moved Episodes 49 and 50 to October 19 and 26. Any calendar still showing the old weekly sequence is out of date.
• Shangri-La Frontier went from a window to a date. Crunchyroll licensed Season 3 at AnimagiC with a "January 2027" window. The production committee has since set January 10, 2027.

Which titles are easy to mislabel?

Eight titles are commonly searched under the wrong name or number: "Chainsaw Man Season 2" is the Assassins Arc, "Kaiju No. 8 Season 3" is Final Chapter, "Cyberpunk Edgerunners Season 2" is the standalone Edgerunners 2, and "Solo Leveling Season 3" is not the announced film Beyond the System.

• "Chainsaw Man Season 2" is officially Chainsaw Man: Assassins Arc. It picks up after the Reze Arc film. No season number, format or platform has been announced.
• "Kaiju No. 8 Season 3" is officially Kaiju No. 8 Final Chapter. The production notice does not say whether it is a TV season or a film.
• "Cyberpunk Edgerunners Season 2" is Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2. It is a standalone 10-episode story with a new crew, not a continuation of David's story.
• Solo Leveling Season 3 vs. the movie. Solo Leveling: Beyond the System is a theatrical film from A-1 Pictures, co-produced by Aniplex and Crunchyroll. It continues from where Season 2 ended, and no date has been set. Season 3 is a separate project, and D&C Media's 2027–2028 figure is an investor projection rather than an announced window. Seasons 1 and 2 stream on Crunchyroll; our anime like Solo Leveling guide has the full status table.
• Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3 is complete. Its 12th and final episode (series Episode 59, "Sendai Colony") aired March 26, 2026 as an extended special. The Culling Game Part 2 is officially Season 4.
• Smoking Behind the Supermarket has two formats. Crunchyroll posted 12 short mini-episodes before the TV run, and those shorts recut TV Episodes 1–6. The 12-episode TV season is the one ending September 24.
• The Ogre's Bride anime is separate from the live-action film that opened in Japan on March 27, 2026, even though both adapt Kureha's novels.
• Witch on the Holy Night is a ufotable theatrical film. Its US date is a cinema release, and no streaming or home-video date has been announced.

How does a title move between statuses?

A title moves only when the production committee, broadcaster or licensed streamer publishes the change. A trailer is news, not a date; a later official notice, like Bleach's September 12 change, replaces the earlier date; and a title drops off the tracker the week after its finale.

Leaks, reposts, database placeholders and fan countdowns never count. Promotional news does not reset a status: a new trailer is still news, not a new date. Japanese broadcast dates and US streaming dates are listed separately because they can fall on different calendar days. Once a title premieres, it moves to "airing now" and then drops off after its finale week.
