Publishing principles
How we verify anime claims
PrimeTime Anime separates official facts, announced windows, editorial interpretation and unknowns. This page explains the source trail behind our schedules, filler guides, watch orders, reviews and rankings.
Evidence
Our source ladder
The source closest to the claim gets priority. A Japanese broadcast record does not establish worldwide streaming, and a platform announcement does not establish an unlisted episode count.
Licensed platform and publisher records
Streaming-service newsrooms, licensed catalogs and English publishers establish carriage, territories, editions and release windows within the limits they state.
Primary material
Episodes, films and licensed manga support recaps, continuity, filler decisions and analysis. We label interpretation rather than presenting it as an official ruling.
Secondary reporting
Reputable reporting can add context or translation, but it does not turn a rumor, retailer placeholder or unattributed social post into confirmation.
Precision
What our status labels mean
- Confirmed date
- A dated first-party record names the day or timestamp. Region, platform and timezone remain separate fields.
- Announced window
- A first-party source names a month, season or year without an exact day. We keep the broader window.
- Continuing
- An official seasonal schedule lists an existing simulcast; this does not imply a new premiere.
- Inferred
- A conclusion follows from disclosed evidence but is not stated directly. The page identifies it as inference.
- Unannounced
- No reviewed source establishes the claimed date, format, episode count, dub or platform.
- Last checked
- The date our editor reviewed the cited sources. It is a maintenance marker, not a guarantee against later changes.
Before publication
The review workflow
- Define the reader decision and the exact claims the page must establish.
- Retrieve current source URLs and record where each date, platform, territory or classification comes from.
- Separate confirmed facts, announced windows, interpretation and unknowns before drafting.
- Add useful structure: a maintained table, decision path, comparison, source ledger or downloadable dataset.
- Review dates, links, title promises, disclosures, mobile readability and contextual internal links before publication.
- Recheck time-sensitive pages after new official information and retain uncertainty when sources conflict.

Inspect and reuse the records
The Fall 2026 status dataset publishes its methodology, source ledger, review cadence, version, SHA-256 record digest and downloadable JSON and CSV. PrimeTimeAnime’s structured compilation is available under CC BY 4.0; source facts and names remain attributable to their publishers.
The anime filler ledger publishes a separate community-classification snapshot covering 4,516 episodes across 17 series. Its JSON and CSV retain every range, the upstream source URL, source update date and limitations; these labels are not official franchise canon rulings.
Corrections
Show us the stronger source
Send the page URL, disputed claim and the first-party source that changes it. We review corrections against the same source ladder, update material errors, and keep uncertainty visible when records conflict.
