What this site collects, which cookies it uses (including Google AdSense), and the choices you have.
1. Who runs this site
PrimeTime Anime is a one-person site run by Rai, who writes as WeebRai. He is responsible for how this site handles data. You can reach him at hello@primetimeanime.com.
2. What we collect
There are no user accounts, comments or newsletter sign-ups on this site, so we don't hold a profile about you. The data involved is:
- Emails you send us. The contact form opens your own email app with the message filled in. Nothing is stored by the site; we only receive the email if you send it, and we keep it to reply and to track corrections.
- Server and network logs. Our host and Cloudflare, which delivers and protects the site, record technical request data such as IP address, browser user agent, page requested and time. These logs are used for security, abuse prevention and fixing errors, and are kept for a limited period.
- Analytics. Google Analytics 4 and Ahrefs Web Analytics measure page views, reading depth, quiz starts and clicks on outbound links. We also keep first-party counters of those events (page path, event type and broad traffic source, with no name, email or account attached).
- Advertising. Google AdSense may show ads on this site. See section 4.
- Quizzes. Quizzes run in your browser. Your answers are not sent to us or saved on our server.
3. Cookies and similar storage
We store a small number of settings in your browser, such as your privacy choice (pta-consent-v2) and light or dark theme. These are needed for the site to remember what you picked.
Third parties may also set cookies or use similar storage:
- Google Analytics (for example
_gaand_ga_*) to count visits and sessions. - Google AdSense and Google's ad services (for example
__gads,__gpiand DoubleClick cookies) to serve ads, limit how often you see them, measure them and fight ad fraud. - Cloudflare may set security cookies to tell people from bots.
- Amazon sets its own cookies after you click an Amazon link, on Amazon's site, to credit a purchase to us.
We use Google Consent Mode. For visitors in the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland, analytics and advertising storage start as denied, and Google's certified consent message or our own privacy choices bar asks for your permission first. Elsewhere, analytics storage is on by default and advertising storage starts as denied. Ahrefs Web Analytics loads only after analytics permission is granted. Our first-party counters are skipped when your browser sends Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track.
You can change your choice at any time with the "Privacy choices" link in the site footer, and you can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Refusing optional storage does not stop you from reading articles or taking quizzes.
4. Google AdSense and advertising cookies
This site may show ads served by Google AdSense. When it does:
- Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your previous visits to this website or other websites.
- Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the internet.
- You can opt out of personalised advertising in Google's Ads Settings. You can also opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalised advertising at aboutads.info/choices (US) or youronlinechoices.eu (EU).
- If you don't consent to personalised ads, Google may still show non-personalised ads, which are based on context such as the page you are reading rather than your browsing history.
Google explains how it uses information from sites that use its services atpolicies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites. We don't choose individual ads, and advertisers don't influence what we write or how we rank anything.
5. Affiliate links
Some pages link to Amazon as an Amazon Associate, and we earn from qualifying purchases. Those links are disclosed in the site footer. Amazon reports sales to us in aggregate; we don't receive your name, address or what else you bought.
6. Who we share data with
- Service providers that run the site for us: our server host, Cloudflare, Google Analytics, Ahrefs and our email provider.
- Google as the AdSense ad provider, as described in section 4.
- Authorities when the law requires it.
We don't sell your personal information.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR, UK GDPR or California law), you may have the right to:
- ask what personal information we hold about you and get a copy
- correct it or ask us to delete it
- object to or restrict how it is used
- withdraw consent, which you can do for cookies with the footer's "Privacy choices" link
- complain to your local data protection authority
Email hello@primetimeanime.com to make a request. For data held by Google, you can also use the tools in your Google account.
8. International transfers
Our server and the services above may process data outside your country, including in the United States. Where the law requires it, those providers use safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.
9. Children
This site is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from them. If you think a child has sent us personal information, email us and we will delete it.
10. Changes to this policy
When this policy changes, we update it on this page and change the "Last updated" date at the top.
