Hulu: one place, two separate series pages
Hulu currently surfaces both original Naruto and Naruto Shippuden in its US anime catalog. Each has its own title page. This is useful for a household that wants to move from episode 220 of the original series into episode 1 of Shippuden without changing services.
The confusing part is the number Hulu displays. Its original-series page reports four seasons and 406 episodes. VIZ's official brand record identifies the original anime as 220 episodes. Hulu's Shippuden page reports nine seasons and 963 episodes, while the canonical sequel has 500 numbered episodes.
The larger totals describe rows in Hulu's service interface. Subtitled and dubbed versions can appear separately, and pages can include trailers, interviews, or other extras. Treat the number attached to the actual episode as the stable key.
Use this Hulu method:
- Open the page for original Naruto or Shippuden.
- Search for the exact canonical episode number.
- Select the Sub or Dub entry you intend to play.
- Confirm the audio and subtitle controls on that item.
- Read the current access label under the signed-in plan.
For example, a viewer finishing original episode 220 should not open “episode 221” from a duplicated or unrelated service row. The next main television story begins with Naruto Shippuden episode 1 on its separate page.

Tubi: the clear free subtitled option
Tubi has a current page titled Naruto (Subtitled). It labels the show as TV-14 and organizes it into four service seasons. Individual pages, including season 1 episode 1, are publicly exposed in Tubi's current catalog.
The word “Subtitled” is important. Do not use this route when your requirement is specifically an English dub unless the exact episode page independently shows that option. The reviewed Tubi record supports a free subtitled route for the original series; it does not establish Shippuden, every movie, or every language.
Before starting a long watch on Tubi:
- Open the exact episode you need rather than stopping at the collection page.

The original-series page needs extra caution. Current public crawls of the same URL expose inconsistent states: some show a “Start Watching E1” control and episode rows, while another shows a “Videos Aren't Available” message. Geography, session state, or catalog presentation may explain the difference, but the public records do not prove which state your US account will receive.
Open the page in the intended account and verify all three signals:
- The page is the original series or Shippuden, as required.
- The exact episode appears in the episode list.
- The page offers playback under the current account rather than only title metadata.
This is why a top search ranking or a Sub/Dub badge cannot by itself establish playback. The episode-level state matters more than the result snippet.

Netflix and Disney+ need account checks
Netflix has a public Naruto title URL and appears prominently in both Google and Bing results. Netflix also documents that every country has its own catalog. A public title page or a result observed for another country cannot prove what appears inside a US profile today.
Sign in to the intended US profile, search the exact series name, and check the episode range and languages. Keep original Naruto and Shippuden as separate searches. If the required record does not appear, return to Hulu or the verified free original-series route.
Disney+ exposes a Naruto entity associated with Hulu content. Disney's official Hulu integration guidance says eligible direct-billed Hulu, Hulu Premium, bundle, and Hulu + Live TV subscribers can stream select Hulu content inside Disney+. Official YouTube, Pluto TV, and ownership routes
VIZ's official Part 1 page lists Hulu, Netflix, Pluto TV, YouTube, Prime Video, Apple TV, and GRUV as watch-or-own routes for original episodes 1–27. Its Part 8 record covers episodes 193–220. VIZ also says availability varies by platform, country, and subtitle or dub version.
VIZ previously documented all 220 original episodes in an official YouTube playlist and a 24/7 Pluto TV channel. Those are useful official discovery leads, but channel lineups and regional playback can change. Open the VIZ-linked destination and confirm that the exact numbered episode is currently available in the US rather than assuming an old announcement guarantees today's lineup.
For ownership, check the product scope before purchasing. “Part 1” covers a defined episode range; it does not mean the complete series. Confirm:
- Original Naruto or Shippuden.
- The exact part and included episode range.
- Digital purchase, physical disc, rental, or subscription access.
- Japanese or English audio and the required subtitles.
- Current price and United States playback terms.
