The official anime portal currently lists episodes 67 through 83. If the announced Wednesday cadence continues without a delay, episode 84 follows September 23 and episode 85 follows September 30. Those last two dates are calendar calculations, not yet individual episode confirmations. This distinction matters because an announced 19-episode season does not mean every episode is already available.

Status checked September 17, 2026 against the official Re:Zero broadcast page, current episode index and news portal, plus Crunchyroll's Season 4, Recapture Arc and English-dub records.

The official Season 4 broadcast page supplies the two arc totals, both start dates and the weekly Wednesday schedule. The official Re:Zero news portal confirms episode 83 for September 16. It also publishes station-specific schedule changes, making it the best place to check if a future date moves.

Complete Re:Zero Season 4 episode schedule

Season 4 continues the television series' numbering. Its first installment is episode 67 overall, not a new episode 1. The table gives both systems so the Crunchyroll selector, an official news item and a season-only list can be reconciled without guessing.

All dates are in 2026. The production committee warns that broadcast and streaming times can change. The future rows should therefore be saved as expected dates rather than guarantees. Once the official story index adds episodes 84 and 85, those rows can move from calculated to confirmed.

Why did Season 4 pause after June 17?

The gap is built into the announced structure. The Loss Arc finished with episode 77 on June 17. The Recapture Arc then opened with episode 78 on August 12. This is one 19-episode season divided into two named sections, not Season 4 followed by Season 5.

The pause also explains why a simple weekly calculation from April produces the wrong result. Dates must restart from the official August 12 Recapture Arc announcement rather than filling June and July with invented episodes.

For a broader date planner beyond this title, use the 2026 anime release calendar. The anime announcement tracker covers projects that have not yet reached an active episode schedule.

What episode is Re:Zero Season 4 on?

As of September 17, Season 4 is on episode 17 within the season and episode 83 across the television series. The official portal names episode 83 “Good Loser” and published its synopsis before the September 16 broadcast.

That dual number is the source of many apparent disagreements:

  • A season-only service may call it Season 4, episode 17.
  • The official Japanese portal calls it episode 83.
  • Inside the Recapture Arc, it is episode 6 of 8.

All three labels point to the same installment. When playback results look inconsistent, compare the title and release date before assuming an episode is missing.

Where to watch Re:Zero Season 4 in the US

Crunchyroll's Season 4 guide identifies Crunchyroll as the North American service. Its Recapture Arc announcement also includes North America in the licensed territory list.

Open the current Re:Zero series page on Crunchyroll, then check these fields before subscribing or resuming:

  1. Select Season 4 rather than the Director's Cut or an earlier season.
  2. Match the season-local number to the continuous number in the table.
  3. Choose the Sub or Dub entry you actually want.
  4. Confirm that the episode opens under your current country and plan.
  5. If the newest row is absent, check the official news portal for a delay before treating the calendar as wrong.

The official Japanese broadcast page also lists services such as Netflix, Hulu, Disney+ and Prime Video. Those entries sit inside its Japanese distribution section. They do not establish United States availability, so this guide does not copy them into the US recommendation.

For every season, OVA and edition rather than this active schedule alone, use our dedicated where to watch Re:Zero guide. To compare subscription features after verifying the title, see the anime streaming service guide.

Is the Re:Zero Season 4 English dub available?

Yes. Crunchyroll's English-dub announcement says the Season 4 dub launched April 8 at 7:00 a.m. Pacific alongside the Japanese-language release.

That source proves a same-day launch. It does not guarantee that the newest Sub and Dub entries remain at exact parity every week. Production schedules can diverge later, and a service may expose language versions as separate rows.

For the current dub position:

  • open Season 4 in the series selector;
  • switch to English audio or the Dub row;
  • match its title and number against the latest Sub entry; and
  • treat the visible playback state as the account-level answer.

This verification takes less time than relying on an undated “dubbed” badge, which can describe the series broadly while a new episode is still pending.

What to watch before Season 4

Watch Seasons 1, 2 and 3 before starting Season 4. The fourth season continues unresolved relationships, rules and conflicts from Season 3, so it is a poor entry point even for viewers comfortable with spoilers.

The two OVAs, Memory Snow and The Frozen Bond, add context but are not separate prerequisites between Seasons 3 and 4. Viewers catching up quickly can postpone them. Viewers who want the complete sequence should follow the Re:Zero watch order, which also explains how the 25-episode first season differs from its 13-part Director's Cut.

The licensed Crunchyroll watch-order guide supports placing the OVAs around the first-season material. It does not create a movie or recap requirement immediately before Season 4.

Fastest sensible catch-up route

  1. Watch either the original Season 1 or the Director's Cut, not both.
  2. Continue through every episode of Season 2.
  3. Watch all 16 episodes of Season 3.
  4. Begin Season 4 at episode 67 overall, the start of the Loss Arc.
  5. Continue from episode 78 when the Recapture Arc begins.

Skipping the OVAs saves time. Skipping a numbered season removes information that Season 4 expects the viewer to know.

What do Loss Arc and Recapture Arc mean?

They are the official names for Season 4's two broadcast sections. Loss contains 11 episodes, numbered 67 through 77 overall. Recapture contains 8, numbered 78 through 85.

The labels tell a returning viewer where the broadcast break occurs. They are not a license to summarize the story in a schedule page, so this tracker stays spoiler-light. It does not reveal character outcomes, solutions or the cause of the arc transition.
